About NWEMS
Nation Wide Emergency Medical Services (NWEMS) is an Independent Emergency Ambulance Service, although our Headquarters is based in North Wales, we have teams up and down the UK providing comprehensive Independent Ambulance/medical cover for everything from small 1 day events, through to Large Music Festivals, Sporting events, Motor events, Christmas Festivities and Adult only Breaks. We also provide Emergency Ambulances to the NHS when required.
EMT Training Online is an exciting new branch of the NWEMS trademark. Providing flexible multi skilled qualifications and competencies within the growing Independent Medical Provider sector.
Mission
The Independent sector is, at present, mostly self governed, training being a major part of this, resulting in varying degrees of skills and competencies within non protected title roles. The term EMT, as a non-protected title, is open to interpretation and exploitation, resulting in varying degrees of competency, care and standards. Here at EMT Training Courses online we aim to provide a solid foundation in all aspects of Pre-Hospital care, measuring skills and knowledge and raising standards within the Independent Emergency Care Services.
How will this be achieved?
We will achieve this through our individual training model,"IV", Instruction and Validation. Play on words maybe,however this is a tried and tested way of ensuring competencies and a sound knowledge base in order to be able to work safely and within a scope of practice.
This will be achieved by providing comprehensive, on-line self-led training packages for pre-study and CPD based courses, this will then be backed up with Skills and Assessment Days, at your convenience, providing a solid skills foundation. All members will then be provided with a Continual professional Development (CPD) portfolio and Clinical Skills Passport to attain Full Witnessed Competency in all aspects of a chosen course.
Ultimate Goal
1. Provide on-line and skill based flexible access to Accredited Competency Based Pre-hospital care Qualifications
2. Provide where appropriate access to Clinical Exposure
3. Encourage Self Verification of Competencies.
4. Encourage further study into the latest clinical issues, trends and regulations.
5. Raise skills, competency and confidence of clinicians working within the Independent Emergency Medical Sector.
6. Provide Cost effective learning for Professional Medics.
7. Raise and maintain standards of Patient Care within the Independent Sector.
